Ecosphere+ is proud to be tendering volumes of high-impact Verified Carbon Units (VCUs) from a highly sought after REDD+ project in Peru, verified to the CCB gold level, on behalf of the project developer and the Peruvian National Parks Authority (SERNANP).
Up to 680,000 VCUs are available for spot purchase and immediate delivery.
*The project is certified under both the Verified Carbon Standard and Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard, with an additional gold level certification for biodiversity. The project has also been recognised by the IUCN Green List and IUCN Incubator for Nature Conservation for its leading management of protected areas and innovative approach to conservation financing.
Call for submissions
Ecosphere+ is calling for submissions to bid for the government’s latest authorisation and final release of VCUs from the project’s first decade of reductions. This project was one of the early pioneering REDD+ projects and uses the sale of carbon credits as the vehicle to finance conservation activities that deliver transformative positive outcomes for climate, nature and local communities. The available vintages are some of those that kick started this success. This is an opportunity for buyers to take part in an innovative market transaction driving transparency and to support a valued, long-standing project that has been instrumental to conservation efforts in Peru.
A note on the process
A bidding process is instrumental to driving transparency in the market and is an important tool for the project developer and Peruvian government to identify the fair value of these high-quality VCUs. It is for this reason that these VCUs are being placed on the market for tender.
Submission guidelines

Bidders are invited to bid for partial volumes, entire volumes or one or more vintages, with the minimum bid volume being 1,000 VCUs. Ecosphere+ can time delivery and payment to meet corporate timelines as necessary. Global submissions are encouraged, and from businesses of all sizes. Ecosphere+ will screen all submissions against ESG principles. The project developer and SERNANP have the sole discretion to decide how many (if any) bids to accept.
